Graduating in Amsterdam - July 2005

Weeks pass by really quickly. Just a blink and there goes another year. Quite scary really. I went to Amsterdam Filmschool in August 2001 and went studying for producing. www.filmacademie.nl is their website. 4 Years later in July 2005 I graduated as an executive producer with my Finalexam-Films. 4 Years pass by pretty quickly as well and I had a good time. Filmmaking is addictive and there´s nothing like it. I cannot describe how it feels to be in that process. That you´re standing on a cold early sundaymorning somewhere in the middle of nowhere with a young filmcrew struggling to make the film everybody dreamt of. Really weird and cool.

During my studies I have always worked next it. A couple of years in a videostore, a lot on filmsets and now since Octobre 2004 I started working at a international travellers emergency call centre in Amsterdam. I work here now fulltime for the coming months to get my budget for my next trip. It´s working in a relaxed atmosphere and I talk with a lot of travellers and people who are going to travel and need a travel-insurance or who are in a emergency situation. My contract ends November 11th 2005.

2004 TRIP

Here is where the adventure started. I flew end june 2004 to Cancun, Mexico. After sleeping a lot and surviving the jetlag and heat the journey continued - Belize - Guatemala ( for some Basic Travel Spanish Lessons ) - Honduras - Nicaragua - Costa Rica - Panama - Amsterdam end August.

It was beautiful there and I would recommend the countries to everybody who like adventure and outdoor fun and beautiful nature and people.

Some History

Look at me. Imagine. Just became 24 years old, a 3rd year student, and had never left The Netherlands for longer than 2 weeks. I packed my bags and left for Central America for 8 weeks since my school would start again then. Look at these pictures here. They were taken in the first weeks of my trip. I was excited, didn´t know what would happen, didn´t know what to expect..soo cool!

DIVING 2004

This particular picture was taken seconds before hitting the depth for my first Night Dive in Belize June 2004 : a bizar and unforgettable experience.

2004 , the year i made my first trip was a strange cool busy year. Also a pretty exciting year because it was also the year I went diving for the first time. GREAT !

trust me and experience it, it´s worth it. It´s this feeling you can´t describe. You are on your own and it´s a sort of pure spiritual experience, it feels like meditating. Really Cool.
